just got an email from my alma mater saying it had been compelled to deploy police to defend the Community from violent outside agitators who had begun to protest on the quad; the first video in my feed is cops in full gear arresting the chair of the philosophy department
The only "outside agitators" I have ever seen on a college campus were religious proselytizers, sometimes also with a graphic anti-abortion message.
Maybe the outside agitators were the police?
As a philosophy major it makes sense they'd go after us we're underfed and always hangry
Those philosophy profs are TOUGH!
Traditionally I think the cops are supposed to give the chair of the philosophy department the options of being banned from campus or drinking hemlock.
And now it's stuck in my head.... "philosophy... is a walk on a slippery rock..."

Fair enough. Philosophizing is dangerous.
The “outside agitators” claim to be students from - gasp - DIFFERENT NEARBY SCHOOLS. You let them put up tents and next thing you know they’ll be sneaking into physics lectures without paying.
They want applause? Donations? What?
