Think that's smart; "don't shit where you eat" is a reasonable lesson to take from twitters failure, and it does take the edge off of the interactions here. There seems to be a lot more "show and tell" stuff here though I can't tell if that's the general vibe or just a product of the new user surge
Personally I found the incessant bickering on Twitter to be educational, if exhausting; I don't miss it here and don't feel compelled to go back to see what people are yelling out on there, but I'm kinda not sure what I want to use social media for these days besides posting the Xrd weekly calendar.
There are essentially several prehistoric era extinction events on this site. Back then it basically functioned like a small scale message board with its own lore and history. It's definitely very Twitter in that it took a constant history of outrageous things happening to draw notoriety
