I lived in very NNY. A college town.I loved walking in the village in the evening. Looking, like a stalker, at houses snuggled with fireplaces or wood stoves going. Always very cold but dressed for it. The smell of wood smoke (a pollutant) in the air. It was like walking in a Currier & Ives card.

That sounds like a Currier and Ives card! Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons. The Fall colors are kicking in and the nights are cooling off. We get a lot of snow, and there’s nothing better than walking the dog in the cold, then drinking a mug of tea by the fire.
