Remember when they said get rid of the social safety net and let churches and charities take care of the poor?
OK but hear me out. The district doesn't refuse food to ANY kid. Parents have no say in that. SO. That's NOT the parents' debt. It's debt incurred by a minor, and there's no way that's enforceable. The court should throw this out, yeah?
At the very least, we should be calling gim and his office morning, noon and night!
I moved from New Hampshire a little over a year ago and that’s probably the best thing that ever happened for that guys safety
So instead, they are going to turn some $3000 in outstanding debts into tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees, in order to punish poor families and their children
Cruelty is their only goal. How can we make people’s lives as miserable as possible? What can we do to harm the people we’re supposed to be helping? what horrible people.
I may get on the list to speak @ the next school board mtg. I’ll wonder why he didn’t simply offer to connect the effected families with the church & that maybe a more solution-focused administrator might better serve the goals of the district. I’d also point out NH is an at-will employment state.
I feel like courts should sanction plaintiffs for refusing to take the money in question. It's an abuse of process.
