Wasn’t it also determined he was a known schizophrenic? I’m not familiar enough with how the disease works but I do know people suffering from it probably shouldn’t have firearms.

He was not. He did have some disturbing issues recently and started hearing voices after getting a new hearing aid. 40 is also late for onset of schizophrenia.

Statistically a schizophrenic person is still less likely to commit a violent crime than a non-disabled person but more likely to he the victim of a violent crime. Removing guns from mentally ill persons doesn’t stop violence, removing them from abusers does.

people with schizophrenia are tremendously more likely to be the victim of violent crimes than they are to be the perpetrator. schizophrenia does not make someone violent, does not make someone kill.

Someone on the schizospectrum here. As others have said, people like us are much more likely to be the victims of violence. On top of that, we quite frankly have a right to defend ourselves from the many people who seek to hurt and exploit us.
