But liberal socialists have always been with us, and from both directions. Notable liberals JS Mill, John Rawls, and Ira Katznelson became liberal socialists. Socialists Eduard Bernstein, Carlo Rosselli, and one @mattpolprof.bsky.social became liberal socialists from the other direction.

This is before getting into edge cases where labels were either not self-applied or just a bit vague. Is it very important that Elizabeth Anderson doesn't self-identify (to my knowledge) as a liberal socialist when she writes books about the tyranny of the workplace and advocates codetermination?
