In film, you should see him in Cisco Pike, Songwriter, Trouble In Mind, Blade, Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia, even in Big Top Pee Wee he’s not phoning it in. There’s something honest and open about him as an actor, and he’s the same in filmed interviews. Unafraid.
He was one of the few who openly supported Sinead O’Connor after she tore up the Pope, he was one of the few US singers to be openly and consistently critical of American foreign policy in the Middle East & particularly Palestine. And a great songwriter and actor too.
