When the ODT bites like this it’s big trouble for National.
It is a cause that unites us all. Even the god damned council! I think it will be like the marches protesting the building of the stadium twenty years ago. I've never been on marches with a more diverse cross section of society. Maori Hill matrons next to anarchist punks.
I’ll be in town, so can be there!
My memory of the ODT is it is a pretty conservative paper.
Just saw there’s a protest in Wanaka too.
Recent headlines in North Otago that even getting access to a GP is difficult. My late mother died of cancer last year than was not spotted in Otago at all. A lucky test was completed in Auckland and she was able to get some help at great expense. Local doc sent her to physio. It was cancer.
Buses are free for a few hours tomorrow to take the pressure off the traffic for what could be the biggest single day event in Dunedin ever tomorrow.
Ngai Tahu have been fully involved in the design of this building so much so that a redesign to the mortuary would layout would see the building facing Taiaroa Head so that the deceased would leave this world appropriately. Ngai Tahu have been PROMISED hospitals since 1840! This is a Treaty Breach
This govt would rather waste money pumping it into a superfluous medical school in the Waikato than using that investment more wisely and expanding Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland Med School abd Otakou Otago Med school as both organisations have intimated
Sadly I can't whānau down to celebrate mum's 85th with a lunch with 40pax
