Hah! Can we clarify that I'm absolutely not at all an expert on hotboxing?! But as for the TARDIS- while it's not infinite it's certainly vast. But perhaps theoretically achievable if the main control room is shut off from the rest of the ship.

You can increase the efficiency of hotboxing your TARDIS by jettisoning rooms; just make sure you don't jettison the room you are hotboxing in. Admittedly, this advice might only apply to Type 40 models...
