I see what you mean but I personally don't care for scare culture, I see no fun it. Surprises are fun, scarying someone, are not fun. I also really dislike horror and gory movies. So that's probably why think that. ๐
Yes, that part is nice too. I do like townhomes. I just wished some recent developments in my area were more accessible for people with physical disabilities.

But the amount of staircases to enter some is kind of silly. This is no good for wheelchair users.

Yes, I agree that townhouses that exclude those things comes ultimately from a lack of vision from the developer and unfortunately policy reforms are needed to ensure common areas, the lack of accessibility (too many stairs) and point-access blocks.
One is designed under the realization thay they need a better view to navigate safely and the other just cares about the "cool" and "tough" look.
