My cousin lives in Springfield and said the Haitians opened a deli that served cat pastrami and corned dog hash, and it put her deli out of business. I believe her, because she’s a real person.

Said it before; will say it again: pet-eating is just "the election was stolen" but with cats. Politically useful to assert so claims are made on zero evidence. Lack of evidence is noted so evidence-like things are found and used to retcon a rationale.
