One of the things that struck me about Trump’s Economic Club appearance yesterday was the extent to which he is no longer taken seriously as a businessman. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
Trump is now a politician with a side job, as his stumbling in an interview at the Economic Club of Chicago put on full display.
Maybe by the business community, but the low-information voters still see rich=successful.

Should he have been? No, but he was. Now he sells tacky sneakers and rifles through donors’ pockets.
It's really quite remarkable that he EVER was. No doubt anyone who knows anything about the New York developer market has known all along about his fraudulent, contractor-stiffing history. But... tax cuts!
The problem is all of the people out there who still think he’s a business genius. He’s not — he literally ran a casino bankrupt.
The economic forum proved beyond any doubt in my mind that Trump’s dad purchased Donald’s business degree.
There have been US presidents with entrepreneurial backgrounds, and they were a little different from this guy. Harry Truman, Jimmy Carter, didn’t people just accept that this was part of the bio and focus on their performance? With DJT, unsavory business details are a constant distraction.
I don’t think he was taken seriously by the business community. The only people who thought he was a serious businessman were the rubes who watched his reality television show.
He is a conman
