it absolutely would not have been foreclosed on, what are you talking about? X/Twitter has not missed any interest payments. Debt holders do not have any right to seize the underlying assets of the company, as they wouldn't if this was a mortgage on a single family home.

You’re right. A middle class family couldn’t obtain this kind of loan in the first place, as only nepo oligarch babies, and the filthy rich are qualified.

Do you think when these banks’ capital allocation committees met to look at the specifics of the deal and the proposed return on equity, that they looked only at the balance sheet and the fundamentals? Or were there reputational/strategic considerations too?
