Most of the beans were aged Brazilian beans (shipped green); destined for Germany and embargoed in French Warehouses when the war broke out. There had been a huge buying spree on the 13 crop with some attempts to corner the market.
oof that sounds like they tasted past crop as heck lol but I bet they roasted them with skill so they were pretty uniform at least
