I wondered if Meta would do the risky but (IMO) more savvy thing of not linking its identity system to FB/Insta; that might indicate it has learnt something about how users approach social networks these days. But nope. It's as out of touch as ever.

this is a big reason why I barely use my oculus at all, I don't want to be linked into that ecosystem
