I didn’t know when I was out walking it was #UKFungusDay but here are a spiny puffball and four yellow waxcaps. Better IDs very welcome, I’m not great at fungi.

I didn't know it was #UKFungusDay! We were out at a fungal foray and I don't think anyone there knew either! Didn't see much though. It's been a really weird autumn first them here in the north of Ireland.

One of our local fungi experts refuses to identify fungi from photos and insists on a specimen in the hand as there are many pitfalls around. Ha was the county recorder for many years so it's a reasonable view.
