Monster Posting Day 14 A hydra is a snake-like monster with around 9 heads in the Lake of Lerna, an entrance to the underworld, it is the offspring of Typhon and Echidna like many monsters. Heracles with his nephew Lolaus cut off the heads of the hydra and prevented more from growing back by Causterizing the wounds. Then they cut off the immortal head and buried it under a rock. Heracles dipped the arrows in its venom/blood to use as a potent weapon. #folklorefolks#culture
