all the kids have ipads in school and will learn-to-code but um, they don't really understand anything about how technology impacts them or society. media literacy is still "how to build a bibliography" not "how the algorithm shows you the same thing over and over"

no one understands tech. we as a society have not done anything to try to learn and understand tech outside of for-profit initiatives. thus the grift stays a critical part of tech.
