Possibly. It's hard to tell and unfortunately the medical staff aren't very forthcoming. I tend to spend more time with my wife and then get annoyed on the way home for not asking more questions.

I suppose for the care and time you’re giving your wife right now, it doesn’t matter what the cause of her confusion is. it’s more for your peace of mind to help you picture what the road to recovery might be. Knowing the right questions to ask is hard, especially when your own brain is v stressed.

I get stressed in medical settings and you have so much to contend with on top. I keep notes of what I'd like to tell them or ask. I have occasionally given the sheet of paper to them. It gives the background and your questions to them quickly as reading is often so much faster than listening.
