Cantraybruich on the banks of the Nairn 2.5km from Clava and thought to be all that remains of a similar Chambered Cairn …. Increasingly overgrown. #TombTuesday

Auldearn, thought by some to be all that remains of a Clava-type cairn but ‘hard to see’ with only these two small conglomerate sandstones, and a boulder, left in a private garden #StandingStoneSunday@megalithic.bsky.socialwww.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?...

Two small stones standing on a garden lawn with a smaller boulder to the left. The tallest is one metre high.

I often wonder why …. Why is there so little left of Culdoich when it is only 1km away from the virtually intact main Clava cemetery? #TombTuesday

A somewhat irregular circular kerb, of both split stones and boulders; with a diameter of about 27 metres located in a field.

Dalcross Mains Clava Cairn has only one of the surrounding circle stones left standing …. And it’s a beauty. #StandingStoneSunday@megalithic.bsky.socialwww.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?...

Single standing stone on the mound of a Clava Cairn with mature, broadleaf trees in the background.

What once was … Lynchurn Pictish symbol stone discovered around 1870, only to be scraped, sculpted and relocated 7km as a gravestone in Kincardine churchyard in the #Cairngorms#StandingStoneSunday

Left is a line drawing of the original Pictish stone, right is the gravestone
