When you're imagining it, bear in mind that the lamp was upside-down by the time it hit the keys, so the shade hit the keyboard first, followed by the base about a second later and an octave lower.
I just knocked a lamp onto the keyboard of a grand piano. No damage done, and it sounded exactly the way you'd hope it would.
I would say "turns out he is", but that would be glib. It's a category error to declare that Johnson does or does not hold a particular set of beliefs. He does not have the relationship with facts that less psychologically unwell people do.
I distinctly remember him and his proxies trying to lay the groundwork for the "stab in the back" narrative even as his popularity reached Stygian depths and his government resigned around him en masse. At the time I wondered who was stupid enough to fall for it.
In his memoirs, Boris Johnson insists he would have won another election if he had not been forced from Downing Street. The man is utterly incapable of any learning, self reflection, or honesty. File his memoirs under "fiction". www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
Former PM’s memoir Unleashed argues he was victim of ‘witch-hunt’ and lockdown parties broke no rules
I'm now idly wondering what the overlap is between "Trump supporter" and "Nature group subscription".
For "it's more complicated than you might think", read "it's exactly what you already suspect".
It's funny, I do think Twitter has become basically total junk of late and that's why I am here. But honestly it's not actually the right wing trolling that has made it bad. It is the fact *everybody* on it is just clout chasing all of the time
I would watch a video to see how to perform a specific practical task (change a tap valve or whatever). Very occasionally for "video-native" information, eg comparing different techniques in computer graphics. I will essentially never watch a video that could have been presented in writing.
Place names that my brain tries to parse as meaning "incomprehensibly exotic and/or remote" rather than an actual specific location: Transylvania Outer Mongolia Timbuktu Constantinople Biarritz Persia Zanzibar Tipperary
I'm aware this is just about me being old, but: it's really really odd to me to see people discussing things online and citing online video as a useful/authoritative source or reference. "So-and-so has loads of videos about this on his channel" no thanks I prefer to remain ignorant.
