Even if they are not worn at 100% perfection they are still markedly better than “flappies” That should not be treated as an optional extra as he seems to suggest. Preposterous. Are we going to clinical trials with hand washing being an optional extra? Or partial washing tested? Of course not.
All those factors affect compliance. But FFP3 masks not only provide markedly improved protection to staff ESPECIALLY if worn consistently and well, but also prevents staff becoming transmission hubs to patients and the public.

Fair enough, but not enough! The Houses of Parliament belong as heritage buildings. As aconference centre, hotel, or whatever. But they a decades past their use-by date for serious government. Parliament should relocate to an alternative location in more suitable buildings.
