One of the many pre-referendum lies that Gove told us was that leaving would allow us to apply even higher food standards than those stipulated by the EU. There was in fact NOTHING to stop us applying higher standards if we so desired. Instead of which we've lowered them.
But Gove promised……….
Perhaps we could stop using “pesticides” to describe insecticides.
