he was a real warrior and idealist in heart, even if he was ultimately punished for it, so I'm excited to observe how melinoe compares herself to him, and how his presence weighs on her mind afterwards. <33

prometheus as he is presented to us inspires me to hope that he'll further destabilize that drive and sense of self that she roots herself unto. his care for humanity was real, tangible, and in opposition to her, he sets his sights into the future rather than the past, literally and metaphorically.

chronos in particular tugs at this. one of my favourite character moments for melinoe is characterized by her dialogue with him in combat, revealing how thin and meaningless of a facade hades really is to her. if she can find purpose in this war waged against chronos, then let it reign for eternity.

her internal drive is focused on restoring her family's name: that is how she justifies her weaponization as hecate and olympus' soldier against chronos, and deeper still, how she allows herself to want the belonging and purpose that she's deproived of and comes with reconquering the house of hades.

as the titan of foresight, he must've known the price he'd pay for such a gamble too, so there's an additional weight to his now present choice to side with chronos. melinoe's character finds a harsher, more selfish contrast aganst him when these aspects are considered.

very giddy about how his mere presence in the storyline immediately reinforces the narrative dichtomy between a fair rule for mortal humans or a fair rule for the gods. titan punished for stealing mount olympus and zeus' flame, lent down to humanity as a gift and blessing.

that aside, while a commission from you is very fun to think about, i'd definitely have to commit any price that you give out as a project for the future, rather than the present. u__u;;
