The daughter’s study desk is about to go to the tip. I have mixed feelings about this, it did its job, my girl went into her room at a preteen and came out as a young woman with all the right degrees. But we didn’t sit around the goggle box each evening and part of regrets that.
The difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference but in practice there is.
Perhaps one day a top tier university will offer assessment only degrees. Pay your fee get to the exam room. Try as many times as you like. $$$. ;-)
If the assessments are worthless the degrees will follow suit and people won’t pay for them.

Some university departments are reverting because of the difficulty securing digital exams.
