Probably worth going out and looking north once it's dark tonight, even for southern locations. I might hop in the car and go to a location with a good horizon that direction.

I'm hoping it fires off this far south tonight - I missed it last time it showed this far south back in May, but I'm gonna be out looking tonight.... :)
Saw them right outside Albuquerque about an hour ago (8:30 MDT).
And for those in the southern hemisphere, Aurora Australis was super bright this morning & likely to be again tonight 🤞
My nephew just told me he saw it just now in Edinburgh Scotland, and could see red colors!
While I'm in NJ, we are close enough to NYC that when the beams of light for the former WTC go on, we can see them... so plenty of light pollution, our own in the neighborhood and from around us - and yet, even I saw this huge patch of pink sky that I came back to google whether that was it.
