The success of the Arab League in rewriting history is astonishing. My guess is because it literally has Europe over a barrel and has for over fifty years.
I grew up hearing more about Irgun taking Arab occupied-land than about Jewish authorities in Haifa begging Arabs to ignore their leaders, who'd told them to leave Israel so Arab tanks wouldn't crush them. I also never knew that Arab nations confiscated 4x as much Jewish land as exists in Israel:
