At the end of the day, it's not Starr, nor McCartney, nor Lennon, nor Harrison who get to say what happens to their music and legacy. It's the shareholders of Apple Records. And their maws --- and pocketbooks --- are ever gaping.

Isn't the fatal flaw of all this they are just creating music that is free for use? As I understand it they can't own something wholly generated.
