10k in 44 minutes. At mile 7 I suddenly felt mentally drained. I hit 8 miles in my 60 minute target, but felt like I was running on empty. On 9 miles I could have stopped, sat down and DMF’d. 10 miles I thought I may as well carry on. Hitting 13 miles and turning the corner to see the finish…
I’d normally sprint. But there was absolutely nothing, mentally or physically. I’m pretty chuffed with the time and to keep going. Just need to figure out why I felt like that.
