Holy FUCK this is probably their best album since World Domination and that album is one of my favorite albums of all time
this album would probably sound really fun over speakers tuned with like a tasteful V or U shape (now Iām mad my cat bit through my DT 770sās cable again) but damn over my monitors the guitars specifically sound a little dry That bass tone is š„µš„µš„µš„µš„µš„µš„µš„µš„µ though just like itās been with them for years
Itās weird, Iām used to a little more excitement in the upper mids with their guitar tone Like itās not bad, but it sounds more like voices and bass instead of their usual āwall of guitarsā Like comparing this to Unleash itās really different Again not in a bad way, itās just unexpected
And now for something completely different Iām less than two minutes in and Magie is the best opening track Iāve heard from this band since I canāt live without you in 2018 it fucks so hard
babe thatās rough š« like even secondhand what Iāve been seeing and hearing from people is emotionally taxing, I canāt imagine living it ā¤ļøāš©¹
Thatās honestly my biggest concern I know good alternatives exist, but my entire setup exists with slate digital and Steinberg plugins and neither of those have native Linux compatibility š But at the same time I really am so fucking sick of windows and Iām not interested in migrating to macOS
