Naive imo. Technology and society are inseparable. Any organized group of people over a certain number (150?) is using various forms of tech to maintain coherence

I suspect the reference to torture exposes the hidden secret of the card and its bizarre peacefulness. This is a person who knows they are going to die, that they are suffering, and still displays balance. This is the inversion: Peace in (Ego) Death. To pursue this is a form of sacrifice (the cross)

First book in a post-apocalyptic scifi trilogy. It's pretty ok! Most notable however for the fact that it was a self-published bestseller. One of the notable successes of the e-book scene like a decade ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silo_(series)

The astrological wheel is a study in recursive logic. The more I understand it, the more elegant it becomes. šŸ„¹šŸ„² thank you ancient geniuses.

Beethoven never learned to do multiplication. If he needed to figure out how much he earned selling six pieces for 50 ducats each, he would add up 50 written in a column six times. He usually got the correct answer. Nephew Karl tried to teach him multiplication, but it never took.
