Sadly, a lot of mind-shaping occurs when there’s no other mind in reach. Imaginary conversations are the rule, not the exception. This results in a lot of strain. And this only sets us up for future disappointment as we do nothing but re-affirm the primacy of our point of view.
3) Realize when you are treating disagreements naïvely. Indeed, what happens when we try to force an agreement into existence? This only encourages a common mistake: the belief that your own opinions are self-evidently true. That they are plain for all to see.
