There's a string of hickeys and bite marks on Ghost's shoulder. This isn't anything out of the ordinary - Ghost and Soap have been the worst-kept secret of the 141 for some time now, all of them agreeing not to really talk about it or acknowledge it as long as it doesn't interfere with their work. There's a string of hickeys and bite marks on Ghost's shoulder. yay!! thank you ❤️
Alone, aye? Fuck it. As long as Soap lives and breathes, his Ghosts will never be alone. After that, too. That, at least, is all Soap can ever hope for.
His Ghost, his Ghosts, are greedy, impatient and ruthless. Gentle, clingy and relentless. Macabre. Twisted. Beautiful. For Soap, they are everything. Killingmachine-handler-tamer- nottobeseparated-johnny-simon- soap-ghost.
It’s like Soap’s heart is being mercilessly squeezed each rare time Ghosts would call his name, would clumsily trace the pencil lines of his sketches - some hands getting in the way of the others to touch first. And Soap knows those eyes are a tiny bit less distant and foggy behind the opacity.
The weight of their gazes is the same, physical and stirring, but again, Soap has always been aware of a huge silent shadow looming a step behind, keeping him in the crosshairs or following from afar.
He doesn’t know if he is cruel or mental for thinking that in fact not so much has changed. Ghosts would still listen to Soap rambling about everything and nothing, their response are raspy grunts and flow of incoherent “Johnny” that strains the damaged vocal chords.
But more often than not, they are docile like a lamb under his hands, as long as Soap talks them through the process and allows to be touched, groped and pawed. More often than not, his body is a map of bruises, finger marks and barely healed bites. Soap wouldn’t have it any other way.
It’s funny, in a way, that now of all times Ghost’s beaty routine is more extensive than Soap’s ever was. It takes awful lot of time, but Soap wouldn’t ever think of complaining, even with how impatient and erratic Ghosts tend to act sometimes.
