A lot of the ex-Mormons even like to joke about strict church leaders and abusive parents not realizing that they're like Mother Gothel, ha ha.

I've heard many ex-Mormon people online talking about how a lot of conservative Mormon families are big into Disney. The squeaky clean, infantilized, black-and-white fantasy worlds appeal to their sensibilities.

That's the logic I go on when I'm making a lifestyle choice that's less convenient or more expensive. I'm going on the idea of, if we lived in a better world, this is what I'd have to do anyway.

That's why I think that the blame game can be kind of unproductive in certain conversations. Even if we agree that the evil corporations are solely to blame, forcing them to change their actions will result in most of us having to change our own lifestyles anyway.

I like Solar Opposites but the reliance on references can get EXTREMELY grating.

I spend years ignorant of some form of bigotry or another, but then someone points it out to me and from then on, it becomes impossible for me to ignore when it happens. I can see why they call it "woke"! (I mean the original definition, before white conservatives hijacked it)

A lot of stuff goes straight over my head. I guess because I've never lived in a place with a prominent Jewish population, I don't have a lot of exposure. I gotta get educated on these things.
