As this trend was making the rounds I really couldn’t identify what my answer was. Then you posted this and I realized oooh that’s it. And also explains some things.

This isn’t a book I’ve read or know anything about, but one of these I would be intrigued enough to buy and the other is a complete pass. Maybe it’s just an age thing but I generally detest photographic style art on a book cover.
