I keep seeing the clip of a meteorologist breaking down when discussing Milton. As a glaciologist, I say: Getting emotional about the effects of climate change is not unprofessional; it is a rational reaction based in scientific and cultural knowledge of the past, present, and future of the planet.
After I stopped crying and sitting in their empty beds I realised the washing basket was nearly empty, food bill went down dramatically, house was tidy and Pinder Cabs went out of business. Took a while though.
I cried when both of mine went to uni. Lasted a few weeks and then yippee, the washing was minimal and the house was always tidy.
I don’t think I can fit into any of my school clothes. Well, except my shoes. However, I have had a great summer.
Also, I didn’t like the link between FB / instagram and threads. I like to keep my social media presence in two distinct camps. Personal stuff about family and farming on FB and work on twitter.
I am one of these. Why don’t I post? Probably an inferiority complex when reading posts from well respected folk. However, the PD I gleaned from Twitter was great and I often sent out blogs to the whole staff.
Atlantic 252…. Had forgotten all about that one !
Don’t forget the washing. Doubt my son ever changed his bed apart from when he was coming home. That wasn’t often!
Life without teenagers…… you cry when they go uni, then they come back 4 years later to save for a house . They are adults and very expensive to feed!
