So one of the consequences of psionically active tissue is that the density of neural tissue determines roughly the capability and strength of psionic effects. Brain and spinal cord obviously but also digestive track oddly enough. Telekinetic hunger pangs haha.

Some of my colleagues are like, worried that im posting about our research on social media, but dude, we are funded by OSFI. You can just look at active research while its happening. Everything is open. If anything, having eyes on our work gives us better funding. So, uh, give us attention lol.

If you dont mind me waxing eloquent over those corals, I sorta did my thesis on them and I love talking about them. Yeah, so they come from this planet in the astra 25195 system. The Astra Auroralis seeder ship came through and marked this dwarf gas planet's moon as a point of interest.

But you can just spontaneously grow these things? Through meditation?? Most psions we got here went through therapy to get them, and now they are inheritable. Not that anyone i know is complaining. Who wouldnt want to reach across the lab and pick up a drink or maybe potentially fly someday

We first discovered these "psionoplasts" in iridescent coral. Interesting stuff, the normal variety is usually red, or yellow or brown. Produces tons of hydrogen to keep itself afloat in thier natural habitat. These things sit on lower level cloud decks and "push" up to help with normal H production

They called it psionoplasts. Ha. What a stupid name. Whoever came up with it must be an egghead. Its the cellular structures that sit inside nerve cells that interact with telekinetic forces. Why not, i dont know, telemesmers or something. On second thought, maybe i shouldnt be in charge of names.

I suppose i should stop referring to it as a "critter" but we dont have an official designation for it yet and id rather not use its specimen name. [SCU-1254-BA-7] does not exactly roll off the tongue.

Good news: amplification worked, we are now able to get a psion to successfully gear down their work. Subject was able to take his powerful telekinetic powers and convert it to micro level precision with accompanied micro forces. Bad news: we cant get the critter off. Forced assimilation.

There is of course worry that critter's base state would attempt to merge with its host. Its ability to interface with neural activity, as well as its ability to suppress immunological responses and numb the affected areas pose a severe risk in an attempt of assimilation. Further observations needed

Psionic amplification. Normally flexing one's ability would nudge it in that direction, either towards larger spread and higher force, or narrowed down and focused dexterity. But imagine a device, a critter in this case that acts either as an amplifier or one that gears down an ability
