So I've just begun playing Stardew Valley and I got a fishing rod but am unsure how to fish as the game didn't give any tutorial and the mechanics don't work like other games which I am used to. I'd really appreciate any tips!

You'll just have to go near the water and then click and hold your mouse. I think you'll figure out how the rest works after this ^^
