Why register? So much hassle. In Finland every citizen over 18 is eligible to vote, automatically. You just show up with id, your id number is fed in the system and you walk in the booth = possible to do it only once, very foolproof. Also can give pre-votes and vote from abroad.

AND in presidential election, the person who gets most votes actually WINS! 😑 The system of electoral colleges and the hassle of having to register, gives a lot of leeway to pervert the real result, the actual will of the people. Hillary got more votes from people but the 🍊 🤡 got the chair.

Because Australians are terrified of ‘Australia Cards’ This is slightly tounge in cheek, but not really. Data sharing between government departments isn’t exactly streamlined here And it doesn’t help that every time they introduce laws to improve data sharing they do it badly…Like it’s a threat

There are too many Christians who think a national ID card is some sort of the "Mark of the Beast" and oppose it on religious grounds.
