You must've missed primary source reports. Don't guess, or presume, get the facts yourself straight from the sources. This is perfectly normal behavior in Haiti. Food is scarce, so they learn to adapt. It's not however, socially acceptable to kill pond ducks, neighborhood pets or suburban wildlife.
Also, it's super weird to talk about ethnic eating habits (derogatory) as opposed to ethnic eating habits (complementary). These guys never been to a restaurant besides Applebee's?
