Those of us who lived through his regime knew he was despicable even then. I'll concede he was a a mildly comforting presence in the immediate aftermath of the attacks...but he did nothing we wouldn't expect from any other mayor of a large city under the circumstances.

Scores of firefighters didn't get out because this piece of shit cheaped out on radios. He was not mildly comforting to those families.
