We drove about an hour and a half, from a 99.9% area to an area with ~3 min of totality. I've seen other 99% eclipses, and I get it now. 100% and 99.9% are substantially different and it's absolutely worth getting to totality if you can.

I've been thinking about the "bullet proof" glass they're putting on the cybertruck. Not sure a rescue hammer will work. With them straight up encouraging people to drive Cybertruck into water, we'll probably see more of this, and self-rescue seems unlikely. Wonder how SAR teams will adapt.
