We had the fantasy where the game show host was presented as a business genius, whereas in the game show, the “genius” fires his employees one by one until the only ones remaining are the “genius,” his idiot kids, and one employee who does all the work. Would anyone want to live in such a country?

Or to go to a more reality-based situation, there’s a President who promises to protect everyone from every threat, only to pretend the threat that actually materialized wasn’t a problem at all and fall victim himself so that he had to be rescued at great public expense.
