It's getting much harder for me to want to play games on release. I already was on the fence before when it was 60 dollars but now its been getting on the 70s. Guess I still gotta do what I've been doing and is wait for price drops.

I've been struggling with this for years already, living in Canada. New releases are almost $100 here now which is a sizeable chunk of change, all because of a really bad exchange rate.

And then the gall to charge 30 dollar dlc on these games. Takes a lottttta chutzpah to ask me for 100 dollars for a game outright.

Not to mention the frequent day 1 bugs so it's usually not even worth playing on release anyway

I just wait for a discount because who has time to play games at all in the first place, amyway, bit I still make an exception for Pokemon

Same, although for me I would buy it on release and then not play it for months (or years in some cases). XD

And worse sometimes after some month they got half price and with some dlc icluded. Right now almost no Game deserve being bought at start

Saaame, I rarely get any games on release anymore except maybe one or two a year, and that's only if it's something huge like Tears of the Kingdom. It's just too steep, especially when I end up having a not fun time if they turn out to be bad 😭
