Everything becomes a race to the bottom with both parties. The Dems don't have the nuts to coordinate universal healthcare, or any other wildly popular policy shift, and fewer people are responsive to the shaming. People like to complain about 3P candidates, but the reality is much less complicated

Too many DNC backed political campaigns are forced to pretend like no one is familiar with Trump's previous shenanigans. They know which policies will win the election, but rich donors don't want those policies so they have to market themselves as the moral choice.
