A Nidoking's ire is so uncontrollable that it can carve a path of destruction from its home in the wild all the way to larger human settlements. While it is known to go berserk when its battle frenzy is activated, the sight of a Nidoqueen it is very close to can soften its blind rage.
Melee attacks are its specialty and it can use its thick arms and legs to lay on the hurt with pure power. That's why its almost unstoppable when it goes on rampage, toppling metal transmission towers on its own. It's known to rush opponents who show signs of weakness by flinching from its attacks.
After transforming, its power has increased by a lot. While its armor can defend against powerful attacks, it's noted to be proud of its strength. It can break bones with a strike of its tail, its horn is so hard that it can pierce diamonds, and it can inject a debilitating venom from it too.
Once actively exposed to a moon stone, Nidorino transforms into Nidoking. It's now bipedal, has longer limbs, monstrous size, and thick armor-like plates across its body with its signature spines. It still retains its violet and green color palette but adds a silvery grey into the mix.

Nidorino Quick Facts: - Nidorino is famously known to battling a Gengar in the opening of Red and Green, and by extension FireRed and LeafGreen - Nidorino and Gengar also appear in the Capsule Monster game pitches - The Nidorino Prof. Oak sends out in the start of the game has a Nidorina cry.

The name Nidorino is a combination of "needle", "rhino", and ends in an "-o" which is often a masculine suffix in Spanish and Italian. It lacks the ā symbol from its previous form's name as the -o at the end does that job for it already.

As mentioned previously with its counterpart, Nidorino's shiny coloring closely resembles the blues in Nidorina's base palette. The light blue skin with darker blue spots match perfectly. It's inner ear, however, remains a dull orange similar to Nidoranā's shiny.
Nidorino, like its previous evolution is quite close in form and shape to a rabbit. but unlike its past form, it leans a lot closer to rhino with a change in its snout, prominent horn, and overall body shape. The bristling of its spines could also be a reference to porcupines and hedgehogs.
As previously mentioned in earlier entries, despite being completely different species, Nidorino and Nidorina are compared to each other as a form of sexual dimorphism. Unlike the female Nidorina, Nidorino lacks little roundness in its design and is angular and spiky throughout most of its body.
