The good people at the Haitian Times planned a community meeting in Springfield tomorrow. Now it has been cancelled and moved online because of ongoing threats. Despicable.

I did my master’s thesis decades ago on the challenges Haitian journalists in Queens faced trying to cover assassinations of their own. I’ll never forget their warm, welcoming community.
