If your point is Harris/Democrats must win & Trump/Republicans must lose, I agree, will be voting for Harris and driving people to polls on election day. But this issue will cripple Harris's agenda down the road if she doesn't get to a good place on it. Netanyahu knows this, btw.
And this approach is not some new development. The late 19th century saw the height of "bachelor culture," where it was very common for single men to spend their 20s and 30s in the big city building their career and sowing their wild oats before settling down around 40 to get married and have kids.
Even if this doesn't have a chance, I think it's more than just performative or used for fundraising (though under the circumstances they'll probably now need more funds for their work). An entire population is scared and desperate for somebody to "do something." This at least may give some comfort.
