Took a bad tumble while running last night and ended breaking my elbow (radial head fracture). It’s been eye opening to realize how much you use the elbow in daily activities without realizing it.
Beta blockers, even at the lowest possible dose, dropped my heart rate too low, so I had to stop them. I do prescribe them for anxiety (and blood pressure), but you’ve got to be very cognizant of the patient’s resting pulse before using them.
It’s been five years since I was here last, but Indiana Jones remains my favorite ride at Disneyland. (California Adventures, probably Web Slingers.)
Patient, talking about his recent fishing: I caught a five-pounder last week and two four-pounders yesterday. Me, surgically removing a deeply imbedded fishhook from his arm: And you caught a 225-pounder today.
It got off to a bad start with me because Baron wrote an editorial dissing the original Hawk and Dove concept and stating how much better his new idea was. As a Hawk and Dove fanboy, this left me cold.
I’m glad I was able to go. She ran a great race and set a new PR, beating her previous best by over a minute
Daughter has a cross country meet in Peoria this morning, and of course I’m going to cheer her on — which means I’m driving 2-1/2 hours each way for a 25 minute race
