I think a lot of Romance languages retain either fabulor or fabellor, more than just Iberian Romance—I know Sardinian has faeddhare

'Fabellāre' seems to be more widespread indeed. I can't find any non-Iberian reflexes of 'fabulāre' except Old Occitan 'faular' and Dalmatian 'fa(v)ular'.
